My Story
When I was fourteen, I was diagnosed with severe Generalized Anxiety Disorder and soon after, had a pretty intense run-in with Panic Disorder, which eventually evolved into a tendency toward dissociation, resulting in a 3rd diagnosis: Depersonalization/Derealization Disorder or DPDR. Rather than go into the specifics of what all that mumbojumbo actually is, I'll just say this: It was rough. There were plenty of long, sleepless nights as well as days where the only thing I could think to do was sleep. There was crying, anger, lots of fear, and a pretty wrecked social life if you ask me (or anyone). The bottom line is that I had hit the bottom line and I had no idea what to do. Then, one day, I came across a book called Radical Self-Love by Gala Darling, one of my now-biggest inspirations in this life, but at the time she was just a woman with a cool accent who wrote a book and seemed to really like the color pink. That book changed my life. I had dabbled in some self-development techniques here and there, but never fully committed to myself because I could never find a good enough reason to care. Gala helped me find my light and now I am on an incredible healing journey and I am so grateful. Truthfully, I never thought I'd make it this far, but I am very glad that I did and, although I am still on my path to healing (aren't we all?), I believe that my struggle with mental illness was nothing more than a gift in disguise; a lesson in hiding, preparing me to fulfill my life's purpose. So, very long story short, that's how I got here and my hope is that I will someday be able to help other women uncover their light so that they may eventually illuminate their own path to healing and self-discovery.
What I Believe.
I believe in the ever-present, unimaginable power of the human mind to create our reality. One of my favorite quotes from the legendary Tony Robbins is "Your subconscious will never make you a liar," because I have seen it proven time and time again. You create your reality. Life really is what you make it and despite the facts that life has its hardships (no one is denying that), there is always a possibility to experience happiness and peace be coming home to our bodies, to Mother Earth, and to the present moment. I believe that Self-Love and Compassion have the power to radically alter the state of this reality that we are currently existing in and I believe wholeheartedly that my life's purpose to serve as a catalyst for that change by helping you find your way back home.
My Mission.
My mission is to do my part in raising the vibrational frequency of the planet by empowering women everywhere to find their true selves, their true light, their true embodiment. My aim is to help women heal wounds of the past and re-imagine the future alongside each other. Change starts on an individual level. As the great Mahatma Gandhi said: "Be the change you wish to see in the world." We must embody growth to offer growth, we must embody love to offer love. So what are we waiting for? Let's go live our lives and heal the world!
